Carefree Ad Manager works with both WordPress and non-WordPress web sites.

Remember the Old Ad Testing Procedure?

1. Deliver an ad several thousand times. Make a note of the number of impressions and clicks and save the numbers somewhere. (Recommended number of impressions or clicks for reliable test results varies, usually at least several thousand.)

   Repeat for each ad being tested.

2. Calculate the impressions to clicks ratio or click-through percentage of each ad to determine the best one.

3. Deliver the best ad until another round of testing is prudent. Because ad click-through rates vary over time.

The New Way

Carefree Ad Manager automatically tests click-through rates of each ad in a set. The software then delivers the ads with the best rates more often.

Ads can be inserted or deleted from the set at any time.

Carefree Ad Manager can handle as many sets of ads you care to load it up with. Ads with their impressions and clicks are stored in a MySQL database.

Optional 1:1 Ad Rotation

The ads of any one or more ad sets my optionally be delivered with a 1:1 ratio. Each ad in the set is delivered the same number of times as every other ad in the set.

When 1:1 ad rotation option is enabled, impression and click logging are also optional.

Details

The software is designed to deliver ads on web pages.

Ads like banners, text ads, and such. Ads for affiliate products or for your own products and services - where you have control of the ad (not AdSense).

A snippet of your choice PHP or JavaScript publishes the ad on any web page. Blog, forum posts, regular web pages, wherever.

The JavaScript snippet looks like this:

The JavaScript snippet can be on any web page on any domain, even remotely hosted pages such as some of the web 2.0 sites offer so long as they allow unrestricted JavaScript to pull in content.

The PHP snippet looks like this:

The above PHP will work only on the domain where Carefree Ad Manager is installed. If you have websites with PHP configured to use absolute http://... URLs in the include_once() function, ask me for the PHP code to use for publishing ads on other domains.

Efficient

Carefree Ad Manager uses whatever sample size is available. As more impressions and clicks accumulate and its sample size gets larger, it automatically adjusts the number of times each ad is delivered.

Minimize the perils of small sample size. Let Carefree Ad Manager make new calculations as the sample size changes.
